After earning his degree in Industrial Engineering, Mr. Luis Barcon has worked as a CEO, Plant Manager, and Materials Manager for Transnational companies. Luis has 17 years as a consultant for SCM, ERP implementation, Class A in SC and SCOR methodologies. He is the founder of the APICS Guadalajara Chapter. For 9 years, he served as a Chapter Officer in marketing, sales, and as President. Mr. Barcon has served as APICS Worldwide Vice-president of Education Development and is currently the Director of Mexican chapters for the Terra Grande District

The Integration of SCM, Lean, TOC and 6s
Global competency, customers' increasing expectations, and the speed at which business moves, puts continuing pressure on factories to satisfy these realities. Companies often have various improvement initiatives, such as SCM, Lean, or 6 sigma, that create internal silos and do not generate the potential benefits that are found in an integrated company. Many times, these initiatives are seen as antagonistic when in reality they complement each other. SCM, Lean, 6 sigma, and Theory of Constraints do not have to be viewed as separate initiatives, separately they do not offer the benefits they can when integrated.

The objectives of this PDM are as follows:
1. Understand the importance of a good strategic plan, which includes and integrates the dfferent methodologies of Operations Administration (SCM, Lean, TOC and 6sigma).
2. Understand what SCM, TOC, Lean and Sigma are.
3. How to integrate these methodologies in a work plan that results in a World Class factory.
